MOOG H.S. Portable Barrel Washing System - "taking the washer to the barrel."


The portable H.S. series barrel washers are used in conjunction with any commercial pressure washer to ensure excellent tartrate and other particle removal from the inside of the barrel surface.

A suction pipe, available in various lengths to match the size of your barrels, allow the dirty water during the cleaning to be evacuated from the bottom of the barrel by a venturi-induced suction.

These units can be ordered with flexible shafts suitable for cleaning stacks of barrels on racks.

How the H.S. Series barrel cleaners work

The H.S. barrel cleaners work with a spray head that rotates in three dimensions, driven by an electric motor.

Through the simultaneous movement in all the rotation axes, a 360 degree spray pattern is formed, thereby thoroughly cleaning every location and every corner inside the barrel. This guarantees the most rational, efficient and economic cleaning of the inside of wine barrels.

With the help of the high-pressure water, an injector system integrated into the unit generates a vacuum that siphons off the dirty water that arises during the cleaning process. Although the water suply to the spray head is shut off using a ball valve after the cleaning process, the vacuum is maintained further, and sucks out the water remaining in the barrel.

Barrel washers with a rigid suction pipe can be adapted to different barrel sizes using extensions.

MOOG H.S. barrel cleaners be connected to any commercially-available high-pressure cleaner or any stationary high-pressure pump (we recommend a total output rate of at least 13 litres/minute to guarantee a correct suction effect).

FR MOOG Barrel Cleaning Stations

MOOG barrel washing systems are designed for the simultaneous washing of up to two barrels
Equipped with integrated high-pressure cleaning systems, manual or semi-automatic loading and raising/ lowering equipment depending on the model chosen, these units are ideally suited for use in medium-sized and larger operations.



How the FR barrel washing systems work

The mobile and stationary systems work with a spray head that rotates in three dimensions, driven by an electric motor.

Through the simultaneous movement in all the rotation axes, a 360 degree spray pattern is formed, thereby thoroughly cleaning every location and every corner inside the barrel. The dirty water that thereby arises flows away through drip trays.

This guarantees the most rational, effective and economic cleaning of the inside of wine barrels.

Mobile and stationary systems can be connected to any commercially-available high-pressure cleaner or any stationary high-pressure pump. Stationary systems are equipped with a high-pressure system as standard.
On customer request, these systems can be fitted with different kinds of washing cycles, such as steam or compressed air.

And where no standard products can be used, we can also offer customised versions.
